Director of the San Diego Black Worker Center

I am the Director of the new San Diego Black Worker Center. San Diego has joined the National Black Worker Center by establishing a chapter here in San Diego. The SDBWC is a nonprofit organization seeking to build a more equitable economy for Black workers across the diaspora through organized people power, workers’ rights advocacy, and educational resources to empower and sustain the Black Worker Justice Movement. The SDBWC will work to advance the rights and improve the quality of jobs through various sectors by developing policies and corporate practices that perpetuate equity in the labor market to uplift and amplify economic power in Black Community.

The development of the SDBWC is currently being led by a Steering Committee consisting of local, multifaceted Black professionals in the public and private  sectors working together to create power by organizing and building an equitable economy for Black People.
